The Pro line of brakes have been designed for maximum recoil reduction and provide you the most recoil control per ounce on the planet! Save your shoulder and install a PRO Muzzle brake.
SS PRO brakes are manufactured from 416 Stainless Steel, and TI PRO brakes are manufactured from Grade 5 64ALV Titanium.
All brakes are hand polished, deburred, and inspected for quality one brake at a time.
When looking for the right size brake, you generally want the OD of the brake to be the same or just larger than your muzzle diameter so that your gunsmith can taper it down to match your barrel. We have 2 videos available to show you how to measure your rifle for a brake and how to install a self timing brake.
H-146 Graphite Black Cerakote available in stock for all self-timing brakes.
Pricing available for dealer retail sales, email sales@unknownmunitions.com for more information.

Stephen Tucker –
I purchased the self timing SS Pro 5 .990” for my Bergara HMR in 300 PRC through Unknown Munitions (their sister company). First, customer service was excellent. I communicated with the sales manager, Alexander about a problem processing my payment (card carrier issue, not theirs). Alexander called me personally to address the problem and get my order in! Once I received my order I was pleased to find not only to have been sent stickers (I admit I am a man of simple pleasures, but who honestly doesn’t like stickers) but my brake was neatly packaged and in perfect condition. The machine work is impeccable, and the fit and finish were perfect.
On to the range the next week. I have to say this brake is EXTREMELY effective. Took the very authoritative recoil of my 300 PRC easily down to the level of .308 Win, if not more, and very little muzzle rise. Even with 245 grain Bergers. When I made the purchase I was a little concerned about muzzle blast being how aggressively the baffles are angled rearward, and let’s face it…braked magnums can be downright obnoxious. I have to say there wasn’t much at all. I could tell I was shooting a brake, but definitely not the hot slap in the face I have experienced with others. I comfortably sent 20 rounds down range. Honestly made this rifle a real pleasure to shoot. If you’re on the fence about this one, don’t be. You won’t be disappointed.
